Cobble House Bed & Breakfast is centrally located near the south Cowichan boarding schools.  Shawnigan Lake School, Brentwood College School, and the Dwight International School are just minutes away from our Cowichan Valley accommodation.  For the start or end of the school year, or those special events your son or daughter may be participating in, we offer a relaxed atmosphere no more than 10-12 minutes drive away from any of the boarding schools, so Shawnigan Lake accommodation and Mill Bay accommodation can be found at our Cobble Hill Bed & Breakfast.

Shawnigan Lake SchoolShawnigan Lake School in Shawnigan Lake, BC is the oldest boarding school in the Cowichan region, founded in 1916.  It is located on a 300 acre campus at the north end of Shawnigan Lake, offering education for boys and girls looking to distinguish themselves, grades 8 through 12.  The Shawnigan grounds have been described as among the most beautiful school campuses in the world.  Shawnigan School’s mission statement talks about “leading young people in the pursuit of personal excellence”.   Rugby and Rowing are flagship sports.

Brentwood College SchoolBrentwood College School in Mill Bay, BC is a co-educational university preparatory school for students in grades 9 through 12. The school was founded in 1923, originally in Brentwood Bay on the other side of Saanich Inlet, and has an enviable reputation as a leader among boarding schools with a strong focus for creating the leaders of tomorrow. With 435 students who enjoy the 47 acre oceanfront campus and their modern facilities, Brentwood offers a world class education, and is also particularly known for its internationally renowned rowing program.

The Dwight International SchoolDwight International School in Shawnigan Lake, BC is the only boarding school in Western Canada that offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in addition to the provincial curriculum.   The school prepares their young men and women to become world leaders through academic rigor, individualized study, and community service.   Their foundation is a commitment to diversity, community, social service and protection of the environment.  The school is modeled after the Dwight School in New York, founded in 1872.
